Moderate hiking on good trail. This splendid high valley hike briefly touches the alpine over Maligne Pass. Because the route is mostly below timberline, this half of the Glacier trail is not as popular. You do get views of the Maligne and Queen Elizabeth mountain ranges through subalpine meadows but the majority of the hike is an enjoyable riverside amble through forest.
