Great Divide Trail: Colonel Creek trail junciton to North Boundary trail junction Professional Review and Guide
"Difficult hiking with river fords and a moderate climb over a high pass. Hikers will be looking south at the headwaters of the Moose River from Moose Pass. Prepare to get wet. Several waist-deep fords characterize the hiking along the upper Moose Valley. You should definitely save the Moose River and Steppe Creek fords for later in the season when much of the run-off has already dissipated. When the circulation in your extremities resumes a few kilometers beyond the last ford you will experience the climb over stunning Moose Pass that makes the whole segment so worthwhile. The pass is famous for its abundance of wildflowers and terrific views.
You face a difficult ford of Resplendent Creek at the 17 km mark of the Moose River trail, which is impassable during periods of heavy run-off. River fords make this access very difficult."
