Pass implies you can carry on into Wind Valley. Leave it to climbers bound for east-facing precipices. Amazingly, the pass was scheduled for a grade 7 bike trail at one point in K Country's history, and prior to the 15th Olympic Winter Games, for a tunnel conveying the access road to alpine venues, so desperate was the government to avoid reconstruction of the highway between Canmore and Whiteman's Gap.
