While gravel flats makes walking easy, it's debatable whether the upper valley is worth the tedium. My recommendation is to use this valley in combination with Wasootch Ridge. Its most interesting aspect is its name which derives from the Stoney word `wazi', denoting `uniqueness and solitariness'. Possibly it's connected with Wasootch Tower, a valley landmark.

Not a great hike. On rocky riverbed most of the way - the big rocks are loose and hard on footing. There are many other, more scenic hikes.
