Grotto Canyon Professional Review and Guide
"Grotto Canyon is the epitome of imposing rock scenery with the added bonus of Indian rock paintings. Because it's reached with the minimum of effort, it attracts huge numbers of people ranging from first time walkers on the interpretive trail to rock climbers and their entourages. If you're bothered by crowds you'll find peace in the 90% of valley beyond the first canyon. A word on water levels. Normally the creek idles along and is easily crossed on rocks. During flash floods, however, it becomes a raging torrent and has been known to trap people behind the canyon."
