Powderface Creek Trail Professional Review and Guide
"The trail begins approximately 12.4 miles southwest of Bragg Creek on Highway 66. This 5.3 miles point-to-point or out-and-back trail traverses the foothills of the Elbow Valley and climbs toward the lower slopes of Powderface Ridge. It then descends quickly to its terminus at the Powderface Trail Road. Most of the trail is good singletrack trail with some sections that have a tendency to get muddy. Due to the solid climb toward the summit of Powderface Creek, this trail requires a high fitness level. However, if you are quite fit and don't mind some lengthy uphill climbing, this trail is an enjoyable test for your legs at the beginning of the season. Since it lies in the foothills, it's often free of snow long before some of the more remote, high elevation trails."

With perfect weather, the leaves changing and a couple of great riders to go with, this trail couldn't be better. Views, wildlife, great climbs.
