A scenic but strenuous walk in its middle stages as it climbs up a rocky ridge. The views of the Front Range are something you will never forget. The loop uses well-signed trails and ends with a forest walk past old beaver ponds.

Incredible view! I didn't quite go all the way to the top due to the extreme wind up there. It was the kind of wind where you stand hunched over, legs wide apart, and arms out for balance due to fear of being blown off the mountain. While this trail is marked for hiking only on maps, it was a warm Wednesday afternoon in October, and there was absolutely nobody else around, so I biked it. I had the entire trail to myself. While the climb is quite steep, it was still doable on a bike, until you get near the top of the ridge and then it's literally impossible to take a bike any further.

The trail was very nice. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of th trail walking parallel to a road. Still it's very nice. When you get to the actual base of the Nahahi Ridge trail you're away from the roads and into the wilderness. It's not a difficult hike but it is steep. There are beautiful meadows to be seen. also, beware that Trails.com map for Nahahi Ridge is less than adequate to get you to the hike. There is not enough information on the map. EVen locals couldn't figure the map out. We got there based on the local's personal knowledge. Happy Hiking
