Leaving Allen Bill Pond, this moderately strenuous loop takes you alongside the Elbow River, then up a grassy ridge with viewpoints - the real glory of this walk - before returning back down a side valley to the river. A nice walk to combine with a barbecue. The trail leaves the parking lot and heads across to the Elbow River. Duck under the highway bridge. Then cross Ranger Creek and on a cutline access/logging road walk alongside the Elbow River through flowery meadows.
