This trail joins the Elbow and Sheep river valleys from their western extents. This 26.54-mile point-to-point or out-and-back trail takes you from the valley of the Elbow River south to the valley of the Sheep. It traverses some challenging terrain along its northern section, so it's rated as intermediate. Beginner riders can complete this trail if they don't mind walking some of the rough bits. Outside of the technical stretches, it follows old four-wheel-drive road the entire way. From the north trailhead, it passes beneath the three main peaks of the Elbow Valley: Banded, Cornwall, and Glasgow.
