Waiparous is a relatively easy ride into a low-elevation mountain valley. The trail leads from the foothills to a finale beneath the big rock walls of the front pages. Here the edge of the mountains is very clearly defined by towering cliffs of Cambrian and Devonian limestone. The land-scape is typical of the east slopes with pine and spruce forests and avens-covered river flats.
