Do you like challenging and technical singletrack cycling? This trail is, without a doubt, the best legal singletrack in Banff National Park. The entire route is a narrow, rolling trail with very little elevation gain. The riding is technical and fun. Ride through the Fairholme Range are the prominent peaks the picnic and boat launching area across the lake. There follows some very delightful cycling as the route rolls and winds its way along grassy sidehills and through open forest above the shore. It offers continual variety: stands of Douglas fir, pleasant pebble beaches scattered with driftwood, pine forest with buffaloberry and rocky outwash fans. Parts of the forest were burned in the spring of 1989 in a prescribed fire set by park wardens.
