Cascade Fire Road Professional Review and Guide
"This well-known Banff trail stays busy year-round. In winter, cross-country skiers head up this valley, and in the summer months it's a favorite of horsepackers and mountain bikers. The trail is a 17.52-mile out-and-back, so be sure to bring along some repair gear. It's also a bouncy, bumpy ride that is likely to loosen a bolt or two. While the route is uphill for most of the outride, the views offer plenty of rewards for your hard work. As you pass a marsh at 2.1 miles, the Palliser Range comes into view to the right. After crossing the Cascade River bridge, the valley opens up with the ridge of Cascade Mountain to your left and the Palliser Range to your right."
