Although you can drive to Bow Falls, the paved walkway is a scenic though sometimes crowded route that allows you to see the mountains surrounding Banff from a variety of vantages along the banks of the Bow River. Beyond the Bow River bridge, you can follow paths on either side of the river; the better pathway, on the south side of the Bow River, leads to the best-known view of Bow Falls.
