Disappointed
I bought this for my daughter to use to transport her two bikes. It was easy enough to install, but had lots of play in the mounting - wiggling back and forth. I had the installation checked by the folks at our local REI, and they agreed that it was wobbly, and even called Yakima for advice. We decided to try the carrier with the bikes, in spite of its insecure mounting, and the two bikes did not fit without taking the rear carrier off one of her bikes. During the trip, one of the bolts became even more loose, and the tool provided by Yakima did not fit into the socket. We were able to tighten it with a wrench, but it was not ideal. I ended up removing and replacing the spare tire four times during our attempts to move these two bikes. We have returned this carrier and will try another brand. REI employees were quite helpful - great customer service.

Best option in its class
I bought this for my '96 Jeep Wrangler. I'd had a Thule spare tire rack but hated it because it would always shift. When I bought a new full suspension (small frame) mountain bike, I found that even with an adapter the rack no longer worked. It has scratched the heck out of my brand new Yeti. I love this new bike rack. I do still need to use the adapter bar but it no longer scratches my frame. Plus, I think the rack looks a lot nicer on the back of my Jeep.

Nice Rack!
Bought this for my wife's 2012 Rav4. Super easy to install, very sturdy and secure. Love the foldable arms and the built in bottle openers!!Only problem is with bikes with no traditional top tube...but there is a additional top tube attachment for sale.Overall, if yo
