This is the ultimate KIS bike mount. I mounted it onto the toolbox lid on my pickup in about 30 seconds. I used a piece of aluminum plate about 4"x4" as a backing plate under the lid. I figure it probably helps with stability in the turns. I use a cable to lock up the bike but as it's an HP Velotechnik "Street Machine", I really don't see anyone stealing it anyway. Most people don't even know what it is! LOL!I've recommended this mount to several people already and everybody I know who has one loves it. Great product.

Would definitely recommend
Installed quickly with little effort and holds the bike firmly in place. Lock is easily bypassed with a good hard tug on the lever so a bike chain is still needed to safeguard the bike from theft.

Got the lockless unit and attached it to a 1x6 instead of drilling holes in the truck or tool box. Bike sits out of the wind, no bugs either!
