Yakima HullyRollers Boat Mounts - Pair

HullyRollers roller saddles provide easy loading for transport of kayaks and rowing shells on your Yakima roof rack, sold separately. Pair with Mako Aero Saddles, Mako Saddles, and LandShark Saddles for the ultimate ease of loading; all sold separately. Universal joint design allows roller sets to rock and pivot, facilitating loading and self-adjusting to any hull shape. Wide wheels and generous Kraton™ padded rollers create ample cushioned load-bearing surface along the hull. Boat rides steady, with neither side-to-side nor back-and-forth motion. Sold as a pair with 16 ft. heavy-duty tie-down strap included; customize with another pair of HullyRollers or pair of Mako Saddles, sold separately. Comes with 1 set of bow/stern tie-downs with adjustable strap and heavy-duty hooks. Fits on Yakima round or square bars, sold separately.

There's an easy fix for rotation problem

I'm really pleased. I mounted these on the rear crossbar with the Mako Saddles on the front and the 65lb boat is incredibly easy to get on and off the roof of the truck, and I'm a small guy. For those who have had a problem with the mounts rotating on the round bars I found a simple solution. I cut a strip of thin foam rubber and placed it between the mount and the crossbar. I used 3M weatherstripping for behind a home wall switch plate, but anything compressible that adds a touch of thickness and increases friction will do. Voila! No rotation at all.

Not for all boats

I wouldn't recommend this product for fiberglass hulls because the contact points on the hull are too small and flexes it too much when the cam straps are tightened. Fiberglass only flexes so much for s
