Control towers and landing pads rock!
I use my yakima system for hauling bikes and camping gear. Had raingutter towers on a Jeep Cherokee for years and loved the system. The drawback was the rack was permanently installed and MPG suffered greatly. Now with a Mazda5, landing pads and control towers, the whole system can be easily installed/uninstalled using only the components necessary for the days activity. Very happy with my Yakima rack!!!

Best of all Yakima towers
I have used just about all Yakima towers in the last twenty years or so, and these are the easiest to get on and off the car. They clamp to the crossbars and don't have to be adjusted every time you put them on and off.
