Yakima Control Tower Landing Pad - #6, #7 and #11

Landing Pads are the other part of the Control Tower system, made to fit a range of "other" vehicle applications. Landing Pads #6 bolt onto just about any surface: truck caps, tent trailers, RVs and boats. Landing Pads #7 come with blind fasteners and are great for hard-to fit vehicles where you can't get to the underside of the roof. Landing Pads #11 are designed to fit on many different factory mounting points. Attachment to Control Towers (sold separately) is quick and easy. Custom-sized to distribute load evenly; custom pads offer great protection. Seal tight to keep water out. Long-lasting, stainless-steel hardware. Set of 2 for Landing Pads 6, 7 and 11; set of 4 for Landing Pad 12.

A more permanent solution to the Q-tower

We had a set of Q-towers fail on an '05 Mazda 3 when we had 4 mt. bikes on our rack. After that we decided to try these for a safer mount. They work and look great, but the mounting options on our Mazda 3 hatchback left the bars too close together for our old wheel-chock and fork-mount bike mounts. Not the products fault, but wanted to mention this for other buyers.
