About Wyoming

Wyoming (WY) is nicknamed "The Equality State" and has a land area of 97,100 square miles which makes it the 9th largest state in the U.S. Its largest city is Cheyenne which is also the capital city, and its highest point is Gannett Peak at 13,804 feet. Wyoming joined the Union in 1890 as the 44th state, and is blessed with many great trails, including The Grand Teton Loop (Backpacking), Black Canyon of the Yellowstone (Backpacking) and The Teton Crest (Backpacking).
