Great bang for the buck
For the price, this is a great jacket. After years of trips using $100+ Goretex gear (and other brand knock-offs), I went lightweight last year, and decided to try this jacket for its packability and cost. It has served well, including around town use, a 10-day High Sierras trip, paddling in the BWCA, and car camping with the kids. It's surprisingly waterproof, not very breathable but OK, and very thin. Thin is good for lightweight hiking, but obviously it flaps a lot and does not ""seem" durable. Due to its flimsy feel, I've tried to be more careful with this jacket than usual, and have had no problems with tears, zipper blowout, etc. Not the best outerwear ever, but the best for the $$ I've ever bought.

Good jacket at a good price
This jacket has helped me get through the winter in the Pacific Northwest. I use it as a waterproof shell over a warmer jacket, and it fits comfortably without a lot of excess fabric. The only complaint I have is that the
