Description

Werner Skagit Paddle

The Skagit paddle from Werner offers beginning and recreational paddlers excellent value and performance. Carbon and fiberglass shaft feels comfortable to the touch; durable construction stands up to long hours on the water. Adjustable Ferrule System allows elegant adjustment of feathering angle from 0° - 75° right or left in 15° increments. Improved ferrule design incorporates internal printing of offset degrees and a low-profile button release that makes paddle feel like 1 piece. Injection-molded blades are constructed with fiberglass-reinforced nylon, offering a lighter swing weight than plastic blades. Asymmetrical blade shape helps reduce torque, allowing paddle to pull smoothly through the water and reducing the need to grip tightly. Drip rings help keep hands and lap dry. Design is optimized for low-angle paddling style. 2-piece design breaks down quickly and eases transport and storage.

Strong & Light

At first I did not want to spend this much, but I thought about the sales rep listening to my wants and needs. I thought she really nailed it for me. When I took it the first time it felt great in my hands. My did not cramp up or get blisters. I did have padded gloves though. It's easy to transport by pulling apart. I love it and highly recommend this as a middle ground paddle. Between intermediate and advanced.

Worth Every Cent

I purchased the Werner Skagit paddle for my wife and myself. These replaced lower cost aluminum shaft paddles. We found the light weight and efficiency of the Skagit paddle increased the speed , distance and duration of each outing. Worth every cent!

Great paddle

This paddle is light, well balanced and slices through the water.

Good paddle for the price

So glad I picked this one! Very comfortable with good power. I have arthritis and would get fatigued and sore with my old paddle, but not with this one. Was able to paddle farther and longer with a lot less fatigue (even in a stiff headwind). Nice control, too.

Good paddle

Bought this paddle for day trips/touring and it so far seems perfect for it. As I am used to all-carbon paddles it seems a little heavy, but not more than expected. The angle adjustment/shaft lock works perfect, and ma
