Perfect!
I recently went on a trip to Alaska and was going to bring hiking boots, when I decided to test these ones out instead. They were great! Super lightweight and comfortable. Your toes can spread out as if you're walking barefoot. Alaska was a wet place and the shoes dry very quickly, so I'm glad I brought them instead of hiking boots. Impressive traction, I didn't even slip on the glaciers. Yes, I wore these on glaciers. My only complaint is that they feel a half-size too big, even broken in. But with that in mind all-around amazing shoe. Like being barefoot with a bit of protection. Highly recommend!

Great Shoe!
I usually run in Vibram FiveFingers, as my stride in those shoes doesn't lead to hip or back pain, like regular running shoes. I've run a LOT in the Vibrams, but for winter trail running in Chicago, I needed something warmer, and with traction. These shoes are nearly perfect. Because they have more cushion than my Vibrams, I have to adjust my stride a bit to prevent my hip from tightening up, but these shoes have the BEST GRIP, i've run on ice, snow, no problem. Enjoy!!

Barefoot feel + trail stability!
I run an average of 40-50 miles a week, nearly all on trail. I've been transitioning to minimalist footwear and these did not dissapoint. These are super light weight with a very minimal and barefoot feel given the superior traction for uneven and rocky terrain. I've even used these to run/hike four 14ers this summer and they've held up remarkably well (owned for 4 months now)- these shoes are much more well made than others out there that wear out way too soon. I also love the WIDE toebox that allows natural foot splay and accomodates swelling and my bunions. I also have never used the paper-thin insoles, took them out as soon as I purchased these and never wear socks- very comfortable!
