"In this segment we are going to go over how the climber properly walks down the wall as they are getting lowered by their belayer. Now, what you want to do is, the climber, is first going to sit back into their harness like you're sitting into a chair. Obviously you need to trust your climbing partner here that they are not going to drop you. So, Caitlin is comfortably in her harness, she is waiting for me to lower her now. As I begin to lower her, she straightens her legs out so her feet are at the same height as her waist and she is just walking down the wall. This ensures that she won't get hit on any climbing holds, it's the most comfortable position. Once she's on the ground I give her a little bit of slack, a little bit of looseness and she is safely and comfortably back down on the ground."
