"Our next step is adjusting the angle of the saddle for cross country applications we want it to be level so obviously you seat tube is not all flat like this. So to get things to the right angle what we want to do is place things right where we want them which should be like that and we see the serve rations we want to keep that washer flush in there so it could do its job gripping. Get one side tight enough so it doesn't move then we want to rotate around and tighten the other side. So now we got the seat about the right angle and we are going to evenly tor it until it is tight. You can do this with the seat post still on the bike, you don't have to take the seat post off I'm just taking it off cause it makes it easier to demonstrate. I use a 5 millimeter Allen wrench for these you can see that it is a fairly large bolt head. For the Thompson seat post we use a 4 millimeter Allen wrench and what we do is if I want to tilt nose of the saddle down I'm going to do is loosen this back bolt which gives me room to tilt the saddle down. Because this has fancy little nuts that also serves as bush ends and little bush ends under the bolt head I can pretty much adjust this all day. I did everything to stay put I just tighten the 2 bolts against each other and after using these seat post for years this is really reliable I can say. I never have my seat post slip or move back on me which is pretty handy. For some types of riding like for down hill riding or dirt jumping or BMX style riding tilting the nose of the seat up a little bit helps because you also run your seat a lot lower. So it just gives you little better of a platform to push against those few times when you are sitting in the seat. Never recommend pointing the seat down cause that just puts more weight on your hands everything just slides down. I see people doing that a lot I thing people think it is going to be more comfortable in there general region and honestly if you are having pain it is your sea and changing the angle of your seat is not going to help it is your selection. You might want to look for something in a different nose or different width that really make it work out the best for you."

The first and most fundamental thing is never hike alone. There are too many situations, especially as an unexperienced hiker, where you may find yourself without anyone to help you. So the buddy system works and applies very much in hiking.
