"Hello! This is Dan from Eastern Mountain Sports on behalf of expertvillage.com and in this clip we'll be discussing injury prevention in regards to rock climbing. With rock climbing as in most other sports you would like to warm up before you begin your activity. Climbing takes everything, uses every muscle in your body from your head to your toe. So it's definitely really important to workout all your muscles. I develop a routine before I go climbing where I'll actually do several different stretches. I workout my fingers and one way that I do that is I take rubber bands from home and I actually will wrap them around several different fingers and I can workout different muscles in that way, it's definitely a good thing that you have at home that you can use to stretch out before you go climbing. Another thing that you might have at home that you can use would be an old tennis ball, you can take that and just drip it in your arm and just squeeze several times that's going to help you loosen up your forearm and loosen up your arm. Other stretches that you want to do you would want to do some leg stretches, you definitely want to just loosen up your body before you start climbing."
