Transcript for: Beginning Techniques for Indoor Rock Climbing

"In this segment we are going to go over introductory beginner technique, proper climbing technique. Two important things are, when you are climbing, keeping your hips tight to the wall. This is proper technique, rather than, a lot of new climbers will sag away from the wall and literally your bottom is pulling you off of the wall. Second thing is the proper use of foot technique. So you want to make sure you use both the inside edge and the outside edge of your feet as you climb. As Caitlin moves down the wall, sometimes it is going to be better for her to use the outside edge of her foot and sometimes it will be better for her to use the inside edge of her foot like that."
