Waterproofed, 2mm thick nubuck leather uppers with air-mesh nylon panels at collars keep boots light and breathable in warm temperatures. Beefed up rubber toe bumpers help protect uppers and feet from abrasion and premature wear; heel loops offer easy entry. Gore-Tex® liners are seam sealed to stop water leakage while allowing moisture vapor to escape. Wicking nylon mesh linings absorb this excess moisture and disperse it for fast drying. Gusseted, padded tongues keep out trail debris and relieve pressure across insteps from lacing; padded collars add comfort around ankles. Dual-density EVA footbeds are anatomically shaped for support. Molded EVA midsoles offer lightweight cushioning and flexibility for all-day comfort on the trail. Thermoplastic urethane plates add rigidity for support and control on uneven surfaces. Vasque Taku GTX hiking boots have Vibram® Neo Day Hiker rubber outsoles to ensure solid traction over varied terrain.
