Travel Reviews Costa Rica

Travel Reviews Costa Rica
Costa Rica is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. With nearly 5 percent of the world's biodiversity located in this country, it is the perfect place to explore exotic flora and fauna. The cities of Costa Rica such as San Jose are not what the country is known for so it's best to spend most of your time traveling to the rain forests.

Wows and Woes

Hanging out by the beach.
Hanging out by the beach.

The Osa Peninsula is home to some of the most bountiful rain forests in the world. Stay at Lapas Rios. It's a small eco-friendly hotel where you can get a bungalow with a direct view of the ocean. Enjoy the nature walks, surf lessons, canopy tours or just relax by the pool. The food is included in the price of the room, and it is excellent. The surf lessons and nature walks are incredible, but the yoga, which was also offered, was pathetic. The teacher told us to give her a good review so she wouldn't get fired.

Insider Tips

Visit Costa Rica during the dry season from December to April. During the rainy season, it rains nearly every evening. This is also a great place to learn to surf because it is very easy to get up on the long waves.

Bottom Line

It's a wonderful place to visit if you love the outdoors. The people are very nice, the weather is mild, the country is stable and the food is delicious.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

The canopy tour was pretty incredible. You'll see tons of great wildlife when you're in the trees with the monkeys and birds. It's an adrenaline rush gliding from tree stand to tree stand and at the same time, it's very safe.
