Jackson Lake
Grand Teton National Park is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. You can go backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, fishing or take float trips in the summer. Jackson Lake Lodge has 385 rooms, including suites and cottages. All rooms have coffee makers and hair dryers; some have mini-refrigerators. Only the Moran Suite has a kitchenette. It is generally open from the middle of May to the beginning of October. The lodge has an outdoor swimming pool.

Wows and Woes

Unlike many national parks' lodging, Jackson Lake Lodge provides free high-speed Internet access in the lobby. The pool is heated and is the only pool in Grand Teton National Park.
None of the rooms has air conditioning, telephones or televisions. Food in the restaurant is expensive.

Insider Tips

Make sure to try the delicious breakfast buffet in the dining room of the main lodge. If you are a vegan, you will find good choices at the three restaurants. Take binoculars so you can view the wildlife.

Bottom Line

The Jackson Lake Lodge is a comfortable and attractive place to stay. Though the price is higher than at other park facilities, this is a great lodge.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

I have visited Grand Teton Park many times. I stayed at the lodge several years ago and went back in 2008. When I opened the door to my room, I was delighted to find the owners did massive renovation, so now the rooms are extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this facility.
