Review of Grand Canyon Airlines River Tours

Review of Grand Canyon Airlines River Tours
Grand Canyon Airlines offers visitors a wide variety of tour options leaving from Las Vegas. Its river tours give you the option to choose from a helicopter or a prop plane. The river tour lands on the banks of the Colorado River to allow your group time to experience a meal and explore. You can also upgrade to make it eco-friendly or secure a private aircraft for your party.

Wows and Woes

Customizing your tour with the available options is extremely easy and surprisingly affordable. The ECOStar helicopter gives visitors the option to see the Colorado River while making as little environmental impact as possible. The river tour is beautiful, but it's a short trip. Try to book more than the basic package to get the opportunity to enjoy the tour.

Insider Tips

Book your river tour on one of the helicopters instead of the prop plane. The helicopter can pick you up at your hotel in Las Vegas and can also hover closer to the Colorado River, giving you a more intimate tour of the river and surrounding area. Take a good camera with you because you will have many photo opportunities, even while flying in the helicopter.

Bottom Line

The Grand Canyon Airlines river tour is well worth the money. Expand your tour and take a whole day to explore the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

The best part of the tour was landing the helicopter on the bank of the river and being given the opportunity to explore. The tour allows you views of the river and the Grand Canyon that you couldn't get from hiking through or flying over in a commercial airliner. I really enjoyed having lunch on the bank of the Colorado River and hiking through the area with my camera.
