Passage Falls Reviews & Reports

This trail is an easy stroll without much incline except for the last 1/4 mile descent to the base of the falls. It is an easy hike or horse ride though large animals will need to be left at the top of the bank as the trail down to the stream would be a little hairy if you were to meet someone. The falls change dramatically through the course of the year as the flow rate varies. As devastating as the recent fire was, the forest of standing dead trees left behind provides a landscape that has its own surreal beauty. Part way in you will see a branch to the left that, if you chose, would take you over Wallace Pass and eventually all the way to YNP - not a day hike.

The trail is is thru mostly burnt trees, but the falls are simply spectacular. Very easy trail, the crux is getting across the river next to the parking lot...there is a sketchy log with a hand rail to use since the bridge was washed out tho.
