The most scenic part of this trail is east of Rocheport, where it closely follows the Missouri River. Actually very few people on the trail, except for around St Charles which is the eastern end. The trail is now 225 miles long, from St Charles to Clinton. For multi-day rides you'll find B&Bs all along the trail. www.bikekatytrail.com has lots of useful information.

Nice trail, pretty easy going as good surface and flat. I wouldn't bother getting the full trail guide as it is not really helpful or necessary, better picking up the Maps at the trailheads.
