Durable bars that fit great
I was debating between these and the AeroBlades, but decided to go with these because the AeroBlades really stuck out over the car too much (2011 Golf). The Thule fitguide recommended the 53" Aeroblades or these. I chose these because: 1) They don't stick out too far over the car.2) You can really strap just about anything to them and they are heavy and durable. 3) You don't need extra adapters like you sometimes do with the Aeroblades because of their weird shape.Honestly, just install a fairing and you can't even tell they're up there. I can imagine they would get pretty noisy if you didn't have a fairing though.

Thule 50-Inch Load Bars
The fist set i bought lasted 10 years and the ends rusted out. REI replaced them for free and I'm gratefult for that. I like the Tule square bar design, better for my canoe than the other round bar brand.

Strong From Texas to Minnesota
The Thule system held my 62 pound canoe in place for 1400 miles on a recent trip to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota. During that time I drove 70 mph through 45 mph crosswinds and on rough backroads. The Thule load bars held firm. My canoe never budged. The whole system worked like it's supposed to!
