Boa Focus lacing system personalizes the fit by allowing the upper and lower zones to tighten independently of each other; make quick and easy on-the-fly tweaks. Boa Focus concentrates closure on the instep and allows superior heel hold no matter how loose or snug the upper zone is cranked. High-performance, dual-density Ultralon® liners feature external power wrap overlays for enhanced support and response; internal anatomic overlays increase heel hold. Inner cuff lacing tightens easily with a single pull; anatomic shape keeps heels locked in, and lace locks keep liner laces secure. Integrated rip-and-stick closures reduce bulk and pressure points; an antimicrobial coating hinders odors. Level 3 molded footbeds with dual-density forefoot impact protection, gel heel pads and perforated mesh topsheets provide anatomic support and cushioning. 3D molded tongues wrap feet for easy lacing, improved fit and solid heel hold; design allows you to vary the stiffness to customize the flex and improve responsiveness. Articulating cuffs lessen shell distortion, ease lacing, improve durability and provide consistent heel hold throughout the flex range of motion. Specially formulated gel compound in the heels adds support and remains effective over a wide temperature range; it won't bottom out or pop under high impact. STI Evolution Foam™ midsoles/outsoles provide awesome cushioning and dramatically decrease boot weight by eliminating the need for heavy rubber outsoles.
