The Mountaineers strives to be the premier Northwest outdoor recreation club. It is dedicated to the responsible enjoyment and protection of natural areas in the Northwest. The nonprofit club was started in 1906 by Seattle area climbers and is now the Pacific Northwest's largest recreation and conservation organization.
