Gettysburg

This ride is a very pretty one. The fields are green and surrounded by woodland. In the spring, the pink blossoms of the dogwood trees, the yellow of the dandelions, and the purple of the violets turn the battlefield into a blaze of color. And while this was briefly a battlefield, today there's a powerful feeling of serenity in the air. At the park visitors center you can see exhibits and mementos and pick up a brochure that will guide you on your tour. Throughout this ride be wary of cars. They generally move slowly but often the drivers are looking at the monuments instead of the road. Allow plenty of time for the ride. You'll probably want to stop and look frequently. The road surface is good.
