Valley Forge to Philadelphia

This is a place for a pleasant ride, but not necessarily a fast one. The trail enjoys heavy use, so expect to share it with many other bicyclists, as well as walkers, runners, and rollerbladers. The bikeway goes through one of the most heavily industrialized areas in the country. Many factories, working and abandoned, line the course, but in most areas tress actually block the view of the river. Early in the ride, you'll pass through the boroughs of Norristown and Conshohocken. Be careful at the street crossings. Frequently, bikers must stop for cars. The road surface is good and bad.
