Salmon Creek — Canoe Route - Greece New York Bird Watching Sites

Braddock Bay Park is on the east side of the bay. Here you can see the bird of prey migration from a large lookout platform. In the spring volunteers count the number of raptors flying overhead. Also, from the park, you can walk the trail to Cranberry Pond—another great birding location. Braddock Bay has excellent waterfowl hunting and fishing, including ice fishing in winter. Birds Likely Seen: Buteo and accipiter hawks, bald eagles, turkey vultures, ducks, geese, swans, teals, coots, shorebirds, redwing blackbirds, herons, bitterns, warblers, owls, chickadees and nuthatches.
