The Connecticut River is the centerpiece of this two-state ride. There will be almost constant views of the river and the hills beyond. This is an unusually flat route — an easy pedal with magnificent scenery. It could be shortened to a 23-mile ramble (a particularly nice ride for beginning cyclists). To capture the best light, photographers will want to plan this trip for early morning or late afternoon and evening, shooting from the New Hampshire side in the morning and from Vermont in the afternoon.
