Sky Trail to Sky Camp and Mount Wittenberg - Olema California Hikes

Arguably the easiest climb to a backcountry camp in Point Reyes National Seashore, this section of the Sky Trail wanders through a portion of the forest destroyed by, and now recovering from, the 1995 Vision Fire. If you want to keep your options open as to the length and difficulty of a hike or ride at Point Reyes, this trail is the perfect choice. Make it short and easy with a gentle climb to Sky Camp; add challenge by climbing to the summit of Mount Wittenberg; complete a lollipop loop by following the Z Ranch and Horse Trails back to Sky Trail and the trailhead. Each possibility is sure to delight.
