San Antonio Hot Springs

OutAndBack • 0.5 mi • 0 ft

Yet another fabulous collection of hot springs in the Santa Fe National Forest. Flowing out of a steep hillside, the springs form several bathable pools.

***Lost Go Pro on the trail, if found, please call 2067195879. Lost in snow, 13 December 2015, may appear when snow melts. Priceless photos from 2 week roadtrip*** Trail was awesome, be prepared if going during the winter because it gets cold, but the view from the hot springs is totally worth it. 5mile hike in snow took 2hrs from trailhead to hot springs. The water temp was perfect, even with the snowfall around us. Recommend waterproof shoes & gloves if hiking in snow.

We plan on hiking this trail/forest service road (last five miles) next week. I called the forest service and they said the road is closed until July 1, 2014. Usually it opens June 1 to cars, but the closure until July is part of an effort to preserve the area.
