Blinn Ranch Trail - Santa Margarita California Hikes

The Blinn Ranch Trail is an old ranch road that follows the north edge of Santa Margarita Lake from the eastern end of the lake. The hike begins along the pastoral rolling grasslands dotted with pines and oaks. The trail winds through Portola Canyon and Cold Canyon, with several stream crossings and scenic overlooks of the lake.

What a great way to spend a December day in California. My three daughters…

Weather Conditions

    Mostly cloudy with numerous showers...then slight chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the 30s. West to northwest winds around 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

    Partly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of rain showers in the morning. Patchy dense fog in the morning with visibility a quarter mile or less at times. Highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s. North winds around 15 mph.
