Mousam River Estuary Trail - Kennebunkport Maine Hikes

An old railroad bed through an open salt marsh with long views to the Atlantic before entering rich woodlands. This walk is part of the Bridle Path, a 3-mile multi-use trail that begins in downtown Kennebunk and follows an old railroad bed bordering the meandering Mousam River, a tidal estuary. This final section of the pathway includes a salt marsh that extends to the ocean, with views of the sand dunes in the distance. Special Features: unobstructed views of Mousam River estuary, popular, level, multi-use trail, and part of the 3-mile-long Bridle Path.
