Frazer Meadow

OutAndBack • 4.6 mi • 1260 ft

When there is ample snow, Golden Gate Canyon State Park can provide some good winter tours. One of these begins above Kriley Pond, rises to a ridge, and continues down to the cabin ruins in Frazer Meadow. Because the Mountain Base Road may not be plowed, this starting point at the Kriley Pond Overlook Trail is recommended. Snowshoers will have an easier time on this trek, as skiers will be challenged by the narrow, often winding trail.
