Valley Spur Ski Trails - Munising Michigan Cross Country Ski Trails

This is one of the most popular trail systems in Michigan’s vast Upper Peninsula, and once you arrive, you’ll easily see why. The system has a great variety of trails for all ability levels, from moderate-length or short jaunts for beginners to longies for skaters who want to stretch their legs and endurance. An estimated 2,000 to 4,000 skiers per season use the loops. A large log warming lodge is staffed on weekends (hot drinks are often available) and has plenty of chairs in which to relax and wait for your friends still on the trail. Surface quality: Both skating and traditional trails are groomed regularly. Traditional are single track set and feature very wide lanes, so skating or traditional skiing friends could probably ski alongside.
