Seal Beach Pier

Unspecified • 0 mi • 0 ft

Seal Beach is mainly a pier break surrounded by sandbar reef. The wave will break in all types of conditions, but is best under a south swell. One of the less visited spots in the northernmost tip of Orange County is Seal Beach Pier. Located just north of tiny Sunset Beach and just south of the Los Angeles County line is the quiet town of Seal Beach. Unlike Huntington Beach or Bolsa Chica, if you’re not careful you can miss Seal Beach pretty quickly from Highway 1, which cuts slightly inland around the downtown. Once you’re in the surf, though, you’ll know when you’re at Seal Beach: Glance over the water and you’ll see massive container ships waiting to be towed into the port of Long Beach. Best Boards: Shortboard. This chapter also includes a brief description of Sunset Beach, and Huntington Cliffs.
