A pleasant loop around the forested shores of Mountain Lake, with abundant views across the lake and to the rugged east face of Mount Constitution. Mountain Lake, the larger and wilder of Moran State Park’s two lakes, makes for a serene setting, its deep blue waters inviting for a swim on a warm summer day. Like Cascade Lake, Mountain Lake wasn’t always so large, the lake’s dam raising its level to supply water to the communities of Olga and Doe Bay on the east end of the island.
