A round-trip day hike in the Mount Hood Wilderness. If you’re like me and enjoy hiking above timberline, then you’ll love hiking Cooper Spur. There are wonderful views into Eliot Glacier, the largest glacier on Mount Hood and the second largest glacier in the Beaver State. At less than a mile, exit the trees and view Mount Hood and Washington’s Mount Rainier and Mount Adams. Special attractions: Outstanding close-up views of Mount Hood and the Eliot and Newton Clark glaciers.
