Blanca Lake - Index Washington Hikes

The rugged cliffs of Kyes, Monte Cristo, and Columbia Peaks above, the white mass of the Columbia Glacier in the upper trough, and the deep waters of ice-fed Blanca Lake filling the lower cirque. A steep forest climb ending in grand views, with further explorations available to the experienced off-trail traveler. This is a popular trip for day-hiking, but camping is too limited and cramped to be recommended.
