Laguna Mountains: Sunset Trail

OutAndBack • 3 mi • 0 ft

This fairly short route to the water in the woods is only a portion of the Sunset Trail but provides a quick, quiet interlude with nature and all its stress-relieving qualities. Squirrels abound on this parklike hike without the pavement, joggers, or city commotion. Before you start, consider applying an insect repellent to combat biting flies.

The trail is fairly easy for an advanced hiker. It is moderately steep and the trail is well maintained. It can be busy with runners and groups of hikers but it is a nice hike. The view at the top is great

Arrived at 8:30am. Was already starting to get warm . Very nice trail and felt comfortable hiking this trail alone. Saw other hikers every so often. The views were spectacular! Moderate hike, took me a lilttle over 2 hrs up and back.
